Lagos Recruitment Alert: LNSA Opens Portal for Youth Aged 18–30 to Join Security Corps

The Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency has officially opened its online recruitment portal for Neighbourhood Safety Officers (Group B) across all local government areas in the state.

According to details obtained from the agency’s website on Monday, the recruitment is part of a full-time community policing initiative designed to boost grassroots security. The agency is looking for candidates who are physically fit, have no criminal history, and fall between the ages of 18 and 30. Educational requirements start at a minimum of an SSCE/WAEC qualification.

The LNSA clarified that the application process is strictly digital, requiring candidates to submit an online form along with the necessary documentation. Following the initial submission, successful applicants will be invited to undergo a series of screening tests and interviews to determine their suitability for the role.

The final phase of the recruitment involves a comprehensive onboarding process for successful candidates to officially launch their careers with the agency. LNSA emphasized that all applications must be submitted through their official portal, warning candidates to ensure all provided data is both accurate and verified.

This recruitment drive was sanctioned by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to bolster the corps’ presence across the state. In an earlier announcement on January 9, LNSA General Manager Ifalade Oyekan explained that hiring new officers is a strategic move to sharpen the agency’s operational efficiency and speed up response times to local security issues.

Oyekan further noted that this expansion is a key part of the state’s broader mission to protect residents, with a specific focus on securing neighborhoods and public school environments. The agency is now calling on eligible young residents to seize this opportunity for gainful employment and civic service.
