An Abuja High Court in Gwarinpa has ruled that the former Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, may continue to enjoy the administrative bail previously granted to him by the EFCC. Presiding judge Justice Maryam Hassan delivered the ruling on Thursday following an application argued by Ngige’s lead counsel, Patrick Ikwueto (SAN).

As part of the court’s conditions, Ngige must produce a surety who is a Director in the Federal Government’s employment and owns landed property. The surety is required to deposit both the property’s title documents and their own travel documents with the court until Ngige retrieves and submits his international passport.
